Evo vs iPhone 4

**Contains naughty language**

This was made by a ex-Best Buy employee who made this as a joke.  It’s too bad this cost his job – but it might have been worth it?

Here is a rebuttal for the iPhone vs the Evo:

Flash Cookies – Hidden Tracking

August 19th, 2010

For those of you that don’t like to be tracked by browser cookies when you are traveling around the Internet – you should know that browser privacy settings or most Cookie cleaners are not finding these little hidden files.

Adobe has built in their own tracking cookies into Flash that can store information about what sites or movies you are viewing.  These are not blocked by your privacy settings in the web browswer, or even removed by most privacy / antivirus software.  Vipre by Sunbelt Software is starting a beta to start cleaning these files as well.

That doesn’t bother me as much as what they are doing with these limited flash cookies.  Flash cookies themselves aren’t as valuable to marketers or website owners as a browser cookie.  A study by University of California showed that websites are using these flash cookies to give you a unique marker, so when the website cookies are deleted, when you revisit the website it will use this unique flash cookie to respawn the original cookies that you have deleted.  The study stated that more than 50% are using flash cookies to store information about their users.

If you would like to remove these cookies manually as found on a Wired article:

Where to find these flash cookies:
* Windows: LSO files are stored typically with a “.SOL” extension, within each user’s Application Data directory, under Macromedia\FlashPlayer\#SharedObjects.
* Mac OS X: For Web sites, ~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/FlashPlayer. For AIR Applications, ~/Library/Preferences/[package name (ID)of your app] and ~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/FlashPlayer/macromedia.com/Support/flashplayer/sys
* GNU-Linux: ~/.macromedia

Iowa Gurls (California Gurls Parody)

August 6th, 2010

July 31st, 2010

Ow, ow, ow!  Sorry, it still is a little painful sitting down after my RAGBRAI ride.  =)

For those that don’t know what RAGBRAI is, you are missing it.  It stands for the Registers Annual Great Bike Race Across Iowa.  This year’s ride was suppose to be the flattest and shortest route ever.  This years ride was July 25-31 for 441 miles with about 10,000 riders.  This year the route went through the major towns of: Sioux City, Storm Lake, Algona, Clear Lake, Charles City, Waterloo,  Manchester, & Dubuque.

I don’t do the whole ride, but I usually like to get 2-3 days of riding in.  To most people – why would you want to ride your bike outside in the weather for 60-100 miles a day?!  First, yes you have to enjoy riding your bike.  If you hate peddling – then this is not the event for you.  But even if you aren’t a veteran rider, there are so many stops through the day – it  makes the day fly by.  This is one of my main reasons for riding.  I love going through and seeing what all the towns do for all the biking visitors.  Oh.. (And they have fried fair food – and don’t forget Mr. Pork Chop since I am related).  =)

This year I rode with my cousin Rachel – and we had a lot of fun!  Here are some pictures of the ride:

New BissoTech Website

June 1st, 2010

We finally launched our new website for BissoTech.

BissoStore Launched

May 21st, 2010

Here at BissoTech was have launched our very own store called BissoStore.  I got this  idea when I was continuously asked by family and friends on what they should use for antivirus on Windows.  Until 2008 I didn’t have an answer for them, until I found Vipre by Sunbelt Software.  BissoTech became a reseller with me main purpose of being able to get it cheaper for family & friends, but thought I should do the same for everyone.  So, BissoStore.com was born.  We also sell Carbonite licensing on the store that will backup your file on your computer automatically offsite for less than $5/mo.  We can offer that at a discounted rate as well.

The main focus of this BissoStore is to sell software that no Windows machine should be without.  Ever since I got my family & friends with these products, my tech calls from them have almost disappeared.  Check it out and let me know what you think!
